What to Bring to Dress for Success

Temperatures in the summer are projected to range from 70F to 95F, and in the winter normally ranges from 40F to 70F. Then, there's the humidity.
You will want to "layer" in winter and summer, so plan your clothing accordingly.
Our equipment folks really like one small duffle per person!

Documents. If you have faxed in your notarized Emergency Medical Form and UMVIM forms, please bring the ORIGINAL documents with you. Otherwise, the L4N team will have your signed, notarized form. 

Gear and Tools.  

Gear
q Sleeping bag (or sheet and blanket) and pillow
q Work clothes (no tank tops or short shorts, please) 
          - t-shirts
          - old jeans
          - rubber sole, closed toe shoes 
          - cap / hat / visor 
          - work gloves
q Water bottle
q Other clothes (shorts okay)  
          - traveling and after cleanup
          - comfy shoes
q Sunglasses to be worn at site- eye protection
q   Small Flashlight 
q Cot or inflatable mattress, only if we overnite someplace other than St Johns UMC

q Tape measure (25 ft.)

q Carpenters pencils
q Tool belt or backpack 

Personal Gear
q Toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, brush, soap, and shampoo) – Do not get carried away !!!
q Towel(s) and wash cloth
q Sunblock and lip balm
q Insect repellent, in summer and warm spring 
q Bible, journal, and pen
q Spending money (rest stops / Sunday lunch)
q Camera and film (optional)
q Bandana
q Personal Medications  

ð Pack everything in a duffle (not a suitcase). 

ð Mark your tools well (with paint)!! 

ð Pack LIGHT, it's RIGHT! This is a quick, fun trip and style is not a requirement! You WILL get a little warm (and, yes, sweaty), in the summer, and a little cool in the winter.

*L4N will provide a trip t-shirt for each participant. It is suggested that you save the shirt to wear to the worship service Sunday a.m. We will hit the road for our return trip immediately following the service, so it is ok to dress casually and comfortably for church.
