Where Does the L4N Mission Go?
Through summer 2010 L4N focused on weekend mission trips to southeast Texas. With the completion of the "Rita Recovery" work in the Beaumont-Port Arthur area, L4N moved with "Disaster Recovery" to Galveston. As of November 2010 L4N is roofing in partnership with the Oklahoma Conference of the United Methodist Church and the UMCOR team there helping the victims of the February 2009 tornadoes in southern Oklahoma.
When Do We Leave and From Where?
The Mission plan is to leave on Friday afternoon between 5:30 and 6:00 p.m. from a site to be identified in emails to the participants the week of the trip. Depending upon whether the Mission heads south to Galveston or northeast to Oklahoma, check out the weather forecasts for Galveston and Lawton, Oklahoma. See Trip Itinerary.
When Do We Return?
The Mission plan is to return Sunday afternoon before supper. See Trip Itinerary.
What Does it Cost?

Do I Have to Get on the Roof?
No. There are plenty of things to do on the ground. If you do choose to get on the roof, there are stairs with a handrail.
Shall I Bring My Own Tools?
Only if you wish. We have tools enough for everyone. And, we will teach you how to use all the tools you will need.
What Should I Bring?
Obviously, what you need will depend much upon the time of year. For the work site you might not want to forget rubber soled shoes and, maybe, your own pair of gloves. Check out our recommended list of Things to Bring to Dress for Success
